Bookkeeper | £28,000–£35,000 DOE | Aylesbury

You’ll work closely with the Owner and wider team, supporting a loyal portfolio of SME clients with day-to-day bookkeeping and tax duties. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys client interaction, steady responsibility, and a friendly, flexible environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Day-to-day bookkeeping and reconciliations to trial balance
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Supporting with tax return preparation
• Responding to client queries and providing helpful guidance
• Liaising with HMRC when required
• Informally supporting junior team members and apprentices

What They’re Looking For

• At least 3 years in a similar bookkeeping or accounts role
• Strong communication and client service skills
• Confident using Sage (essential)
• Comfortable with bookkeeping, VAT, and tax basics
• Willing to be part of a small, collaborative team
