A step up for an ambitious Personal Tax professional This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Personal Tax professional who wants to move into a role offering greater responsibility, exposure to complex work and clear long-term progression. Joining a well-established and growing accountancy practice, you’ll take ownership of a varied personal tax portfolio while working closely with senior tax leaders.

The opportunity You’ll be trusted to manage your own client relationships while playing a key role in advisory work and supporting junior colleagues. The client base is varied and technically interesting, making this an ideal role for someone ready to step confidently into a manager-level position.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients, overseeing compliance and advisory matters
  • Preparing and reviewing complex personal, partnership and trust tax returns
  • Identifying tax planning opportunities and supporting clients with implementation
  • Acting as a main point of contact for clients, building trusted relationships
  • Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and supporting their development
  • Assisting with HMRC enquiries and compliance checks
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues on ad-hoc advisory projects

What we’re looking for

  • CTA qualified (or equivalent)
  • 2 years’ post-qualification experience in personal tax
  • Experience gained within a UK personal tax practice
  • Strong technical knowledge and a commercial, client-focused approach
  • Confident communicator who enjoys client-facing work
  • Experience reviewing work and mentoring junior staff
